Use cases

Who Leases IP Subnets from Cloud2Y

  • Hosting and VPS providers that need extra clean IPv4 space
  • Email and SMTP senders that require reputation-clean addresses
  • ISPs and networks that announce their own prefixes via BGP
  • Growing infrastructures adopting IPv6 (PA space with LOA)
  • Projects that need registered, RIPE-compliant addresses without an RIR allocation wait
How it works

Simple & Transparent Process

  1. Submit your request
Tell us the subnet size, quantity and how you plan to use it.
  2. Receive test access
We prepare the LOA and hand over the addresses so you can verify routing and BGP.
  3. Confirm & activate
After the test period billing starts and the subnet is fully assigned to you.
  4. Ongoing support
We help with rDNS, RIPE records and BGP announcement for the whole lease term.

FAQ

IPv4 & IPv6 — Frequently Asked Questions

What are IPv4/IPv6 subnets?

Renting IP subnets allows you to use a specific range of IPv4 or IPv6 addresses without having to own the corresponding address resources yourself.

IPv4/IPv6 SUBNET LEASING

Cloud2Y leases IPv4 and IPv6 address space directly from its own Provider Aggregatable (PA) range as an accredited RIPE NCC LIR. That means every subnet you get is clean, properly registered, and ready to announce — not an address block with a questionable history that could hurt your mail or hosting reputation before you've even used it. Plans run from a single IPv4 /24 to a full /22 block, plus IPv6 /48 and /32 ranges, with delivery the same business day.

What "Clean, RIPE-Registered" Actually Means

Every IP address carries a reputation — years of prior use by other tenants, spam complaints, or blacklist history that a new lessee inherits by default. Cloud2Y avoids this by leasing exclusively from its own PA space as a registered LIR, so the addresses you receive haven't been passed through a chain of resellers before reaching you. For SMTP senders and hosting providers, this is often the deciding factor between a lease that works on day one and one that requires months of reputation rebuilding.

Who Actually Leases Subnets from Cloud2Y

This isn't a general-purpose add-on — it's built for specific technical needs:

  • Hosting and VPS providers that need extra clean IPv4 space to assign to customer instances
  • Email and SMTP senders that require reputation-clean addresses to protect deliverability
  • ISPs and networks that announce their own prefixes via BGP and need PA space to originate from
  • Infrastructure adopting IPv6 that needs PA space with a Letter of Authorization (LOA) already in place
  • Projects that need registered, RIPE-compliant addresses without waiting on a direct RIR allocation

How Leasing Works — Four Steps

  1. Submit your request. Tell Cloud2Y the subnet size, quantity, and intended use.
  2. Receive test access. Cloud2Y prepares the LOA and hands over the addresses so you can verify routing and BGP before committing.
  3. Confirm and activate. Once the test period ends, billing starts and the subnet is fully assigned to you.
  4. Ongoing support. Cloud2Y assists with rDNS, RIPE database records, and BGP announcement for the full lease term.

You can run leased addresses on your own network infrastructure or deploy them directly inside Cloud2Y's hosting environment — the choice is yours.

Where the Address Space Comes From

Cloud2Y's IP space belongs to the RIPE NCC region, which keeps geolocation accurate and maintains compatibility with European platforms and providers. The underlying infrastructure spans Ukraine (Kyiv, Lviv), Europe (Amsterdam), and Singapore — so leased subnets can be routed close to wherever your users actually are.

Support Beyond the Lease Itself

A subnet lease from Cloud2Y includes the paperwork most providers leave you to handle alone: the LOA for BGP announcement, reverse DNS configuration on request, and help keeping RIPE database records accurate for the life of the lease. If you don't have your own LIR, that's not a blocker — Cloud2Y provides the addresses within its own LIR infrastructure, with full technical and legal support included.
